Prisoners

Saddharma Dr. Frank Tedesco has been an authorized volunteer Buddhist chaplain in the Florida correctional system for a number of years.
He began serving inmates locally at the Pinellas County Jail. It was a tremendous learning experience for Frank to enter many places of
incarceration and share in the lives of inmates, male and female. He has led meditation groups and taught Buddhadharma to young and old
inmates. Those inmates who are inclined to study Dharma have already done a lot of inner work. Their insights into themselves and their
actions that brought them to prison have often already been reviewed before sitting in meditation. Sometimes they have grown wiser.

I recommend the great books of my late friend Bo Lozoff such as We Are All Doing Time, published and distributed by
the Human Kindness Foundation that is run by Bo’s widow Sita.
